I am a new member having switched to Aetna prescription drug services when my previous car carrier CIGNA stop providing drug insurance. My initial experience, simply trying to reach Aetna
With a few questions as a With a few questions as a new enrollee, particularly do you provide delivery services since I live in a senior community and no longer drive…
having left two messages with no callback. Disappointing experience for a new enrollee .. while I know it’s the holiday season and staff shortages exist , this is very poor customer service and this comes from a customer who has worked in health care all my life! Very disappointing
Sadly I will be looking at other available options …

I am a social worker, and have to book rides for patients with Aetna Better Health Medicaid with their modivcare. Aetna Better Health frequently looses Standing Orders for transportation. The number on their form to fax Standing Orders is incorrect, and you have to call them to get the correct fax number. If you somehow get through to customer care, the phone is either a bad connection, or the person that takes the call is not helpful leading to being transferred and eventually hung up on. For a single patient in a month, I've had to call Aetna Better Health about 10 times, and we still have issues with this person's transportation. I work in a industry of health with appointments that mean life or death, and Aetna Better Health messes up these rides. I would not be surprised if their incompetence has led to patient mortalities or extremely bad health outcomes.
Well,... Let me start by saying. I was so, impressed with quality, value and the professionalism. However, they failed to follow - up and some how my information got mixed up, which is very, very bad dealing with anything medical. I had to call and resubmitting my e-mail address for the follow-up information concerning my consultation. Now, just to give them the benefit of the doubt. I thought the price I paid for blood work was Money well spent. I am assuming it was a mix up and not common practice. To just get people information and shut the door. Again, not good for anything medical.
The unwillingness to help someone is disgusting, I use to have Aetna and it’s a pretty good insurance to have; however, this office is ridiculous. You have stand outside of the office and you can see the receptionist through the window but you have to use the phone outside the window to call the person and speak to them... if this is for safety please move your office from our neighborhood if we make you that uncomfortable! This is pure laziness! Why not have a person walk up to your front desk and speak face to face, not from a phone right outside the door! Then once speaking to the woman she had an attitude, I was the one struggling to use the phone because I had never been to this location before. Disgusting!
