My company signed up with Intellishift back in 2022. I was not in charge of this contract. A former employee was. The contract is FOUR YEARS long. You have to pay thousands to break this contract. I am continuously reaching out to support with cameras not working in our work trucks. It has become a full-time job making sure the cameras are working. We recently had a truck involved in a wreck and the camera of course was not working. I barely get an answer within two days from the account manager. I have to basically beg and scream to get a response. When everything is working it works well. Just can't get anything to consistently work.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM.
We signed up with this vehicle tracking company expecting reliable service and transparent pricing. Instead, we’ve had one frustrating experience after another. Here's a breakdown of why I strongly advise others to avoid this provider:
1. Unreliable Tracking Coverage:
The service barely functions as advertised. Coverage is spotty at best, and many of our vehicles frequently go “offline” or show inaccurate data, making the entire system virtually useless for real-time tracking or fleet management. When we reached out for support, the responses were generic and unhelpful.
2. Misleading Contract Terms:
We were locked into a long-term contract under the impression that we were getting a fully functional tracking solution. Only after signing did we learn that the service lacks nationwide reliability—and canceling the contract requires jumping through hoops with stiff penalties.
3. Hidden Fees Galore:
What started as a seemingly affordable plan quickly turned into a costly nightmare. We were hit with surprise activation fees, “data” fees, and even billing for technical support that was rarely effective. These charges were never clearly outlined up front.
4. Poor Customer Service:
Communication is slow and evasive. Whenever we raised concerns, the company was quick to deflect blame rather than take accountability or offer practical resolutions.
Bottom Line:
This company relies on fine print and high-pressure sales tactics to trap businesses in unfair agreements. The technology is unreliable, the costs are far from transparent, and their customer service is more of a smokescreen than a solution.
If you're in the market for a GPS tracking provider, do your due diligence and stay far away from this one. There are far better
I enjoy working with the team there on our vehicle tracking. There are pros and cons to working with any company, but this one keeps me updated and does call or email to check if we need anything and has always been helpful. We switched from just GPS to Cameras and GPS and it was a relatively smooth transition. It definitely could have been worse. They do offer to have someone install them for you, but we did it ourselves, very easy to take care.
Our company has been with IntelliShift and its predecessor Vehicle Tracking Solutions for many years and have seen the company evolve from a very simple platform to a highly sophisticated offering in fleet management providing comprehensive tools to track, secure and access the efficiency of your fleet operation. More than anything, their local in-house based customer service is what has kept us loyal all these years and we look forward to our continued relationship.
Fleet tracking software allows great confidence in providing accurate information to merchandise end users. We utilize the software daily to confirm delivery accuracy. Super helpful for both our fleet and our customers.
