Recent Reviews for Martial Arts Studios in New York City
Our child recently started at Professional Tae Kwon Do on 2nd Avenue as a beginner, and we've had a very positive experience so far. The instructors are patient, professional, and do a great job working with students of different skill levels. The classes are well organized and strike a nice balance between teaching discipline and keeping kids engaged. The staff is friendly, communication is clear, and the overall environment is welcoming. We're glad we chose Professional Tae Kwon Do and would recommend it to other families looking for martial arts classes in the neighborhood.
UMA has been my training home for years for everything from JKD, Muay Thai, grappling and FMA! Strong, inclusive community and super experienced staff!
Amazing staff, knowledgeable and skilled instructors. The classes will challenge you but you’ll always leave learning something new. Great place to learn Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do!
We love MMA! Our son started in kindergarten and is now in 3rd grade, still happily going to classes 3 days a week (plus summer camp and Parents’ Night Out). It’s the only activity he’s wanted to stick with year-round. The staff and instructors are excellent, and the program has helped build his work ethic, confidence, and physical fitness in such a positive way.
I've been training at Masterskya for a few years now. Not only has this place helped me learn and love the sport of jiu jitsu, it's transformed the way I view community. The coaches and training partners here are top-notch and have helped me grow as an athlete and individual. There's a strong sense of team here and everyone supports each other. I couldn't recommend Masterskya enough -- if you're day 1 white belt all the way up to a seasoned vet, this is a great place to train.
