The practice engenders confidence that I am getting the right diagnosis and most effective treatment. Dr. Trueman was thorough and thoughtful. Where prior doctors more or less shrugged their shoulders, she provided welcome relief. Highly recommended.

I struggled with severe plantar fasciitis-related pain for over six months. Exercises I found on the internet and tried on my own, and a prior visit to another podiatrist, did not help. I was researching New York City-based podiatrists online and came across Step Up and their Laser Therapy treatment for plantar fasciitis. Drs. Lobkova and Abramova were incredible: -- They looked at my x-rays and immediately diagnosed an issue with my right foot that was the root cause of my plantar fasciitis, something that the prior podiatrist had failed to notice. They explained to me in detail what was causing my pain and how they would try to address it. -- The explained how laser therapy works, what it does and does not do, and how it could help. They also set my expectations that it was not a miracle treatment but one part of the solution to ending my plantar fasciitis pain. The other was replacing my old shoes with specific footwear to address plantar fasciitis (Hoka, in my case) and finding the best insoles / orthotics. They even directed me to the best indoor shoes / slippers (also Hoka). They wrote me a Letter of Medical Necessity so that insurance would pay for all of these things. They provided laser therapy over several weeks, gradually decreasing the frequency. They also send me some optional exercises to do every morning. -- We experimented with custom orthotics, but for my specific case they didn't feel as comfortable as some specialized store-bought orthotic insoles. Step Up gave me the option of trying to another manufacturer or just stick with the store-bought insoles, and did not charge me for the custom orthotics that I did not use. My first appointment was early January. Five weeks later I was improved so much that I was able to take an international trip that involved a ton of walking and hiking. As of this writing, I have been pain-free since April. The combination of laser therapy, footwear, and orthotics really worked for me. I am extremely grateful to Drs. Lobkova and Abramova for their expertise, professionalism, and honesty. I recommend Step Up wholeheartedly. Thank you! Literally because of you my quality of life has improved dramatically.

Dr. Tinisha Ricks was very professional and compassionate in her care for my feet and explanation of possible treatment options. I had been to a few podiatrists in PA, NY & NJ but Dr. Ricks has given me the best care of all my providers. I would highly recommend her for podiatrist needs, hopefully you don’t have many.

This was my first experience with a podiatrist and it was actually fantastic. Dr. Lilker is down to earth, cool, conversational, and very thorough in his explanations. He walked me through my entire issue - causes, side effects, and solutions - in an easy to understand way. He also presented me with a short term and long term plan that fit with my lifestyle. The building was super close to public transportation and on a safe block, and the offices were clean and welcoming. I'd highly recommend!

Super clean office. Courteous staff. I had the nerve to be late. Not only did they accommodate but the 'wait', she warned me about was less than 10 minutes. My Dr listened to me and made sure to schedule a follow up. Wish all appts were this pleasant.
