Delicious Mortadella sandwich! I didn’t try any of the other available pastries but there’s quite a selection. Would love to go back. Great indoor seating, free WiFi and restroom for guests.

IL Forno Bakery May 23, 2026

My sister and I became fans of a bread which Sergimmo, a salumeria in Whitestone sells. My sister asked for the name of the wholesaler which is Il Forno Bakery located at 521 Faile Street, in the Bronx. Julian A. Gonzalez, the owner was so gracious, friendly and informative when we met him. We loved the different artisanal breads we tried but my favorite was the sesame encrusted sourdough loaf baked to a golden brown. My sister loved the baguette. I can only hope that more retailers and restaurants will reach out to him and order his serious artisanal bread for their customers to enjoy! Good bread in a store or restaurant is an important measure of the owners interest in serving a customer the best quality they can. Thank you, Julian for your excellent artisanal bread! The BEST customer service!

by John Giacomi

So incredibly impressed with these baked goods. I found Golden Star online when searching for fat-free cookies, and ordered a box of treats. Included in the box were black and white cookies, celebration cookies, and some of the cinnamon goldies. All of them were low on calorie, and absolutely high on flavor. I almost couldn't believe how low calorie they were, especially when taking into account that there weren't a bunch of junk ingredients in it. Just darn good treats. These guys have earned my future business for sure. Game changer desserts. 10/10
